Nonantum Resort Joins Maine Innkeepers
Program
To Benefit Habitat for Humanity
Kennebunkport, Maine: The Nonantum
Resort proudly announces its participation
in a program to help raise money for
“Hospitality for Habitat,” sponsored by the
Maine Innkeepers Association.
May 1 to 17th Midweek (Sunday through
Thursday nights), the Inn will set aside a
number of its rooms to offer them to guests
at only $69* including breakfast. *To be eligible, guests must
present a tax-deductible $25 check, made out
to “Habitat for Humanity International”.
New for 2007, guests who can not make it
during the week can visit Fri & Sat Nights
May 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 & 19 and book a room
from only $89* including Full Breakfast (the
$25 check to Habitat is still required).
Habitat for Humanity International provides
low-income families the opportunity to earn
a home they would not otherwise be able to
afford.
“We are always excited to participate in this
program,” Inn Manager Tina Hewett said. “It
is a great way to generate interest in Maine
and support this great program.”
Habitat for Humanity International is a
Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating
poverty housing. Founded in 1975 by Millard
Fuller, along with his wife Linda, Habitat
for Humanity International and its
affiliates in more than 3,000 communities in
92 nations, have built and sold more than
150,000 homes to partner families with
no-profit, zero-interest mortgages. Their
website is www.habitat.org.
The Maine Innkeepers Association is a
tourism information provider to both the
state’s lodging industry and its visitors,
and represents nearly 800 B&Bs, inns,
hotels, motels, resorts, camps and cottages
statewide.
The Nonantum Resort is one of several
Kennebunk member properties participating in
this very special program. “This is the
4th
season we have participated in the
‘Hospitality for Habitat’ event,” states
Hewett. “It’s a great way to encourage
guests to visit Maine in the Spring, and
benefit a very worthwhile organization at
the same time.”
Reservations must be made in advance, and
the tax-deductible donation to Habitat for
Humanity must be in the form of a check.
Hewett encourages prospective guests to
visit their website (www.nonantumresort.com)
for a virtual tour of the inn, description
of available rooms, and rates for this
special program.
Hewett continues, “If you have a birthday,
anniversary, or any other special occasion
coming up, this would be a great opportunity
to experience the Nonantum. Spring in Maine
is lovely and un-crowded. Come visit us for
a quiet, relaxing getaway — and help a great
cause at the same time!”
