Celebrating
125 Years in 2008!
The Nonantum Resort is located on a piece
of land on the Kennebunk River which was a
trading center where natives sold and traded
wares, fish, venison and berries.
It is in this area that Chief Thomas Waban
gathered a settlement from fragmented tribes
of Native Americans in the mid-17th century.
The settlement, upon adopting Christianity
and the white man's form of government
called the place “Nonantum.”
