Quaint
and charming, the Carriage House Inn offers a unique
combination of Victorian era ambience,
contemporary service and first rate
accommodations.
Hardwood floors and high
ceilings greet your arrival in the lobby and
hint at a time when guests arrived by train
and horse drawn carriage. The coming and
goings of schooners and barges have been
replaced by lobster boats, yachts, deep sea
fishing and whale watch tours, but the way
you'll feel as you stroll across the lawn to
ponder the tide are the same.
All rooms in the
Inn have been updated with modern amenities
today's travelers have come to expect and feature: Air conditioning, color cable
television, phones, WiFi
Internet access, and a private
bath. And all the bathrooms in the Inn were
renovated and updated in recent years. While every
room in the Inn is unique, there are 4 types
of rooms to choose from.
55 of our 111 rooms are in the Carriage
House Inn.
Non-Waterview
Rooms: Feature two double beds, one
queen or a queen/twin combination. Rooms are
tastefully decorated with unique Victorian
Charm.
 Waterview Rooms: Feature one queen
bed or a queen/twin combination. Queen rooms
are furnished with white wicker and feature a large
picture window overlooking the River.
Queen/twin rooms are uniquely decorated.
Riverview Jacuzzi Rooms: Feature one
queen 4-poster bed, hardwood floors, a fabulous river view, a 2-person Jacuzzi
bathtub and a gas woodstove fireplace.
Inn Family Units: Most family
units have one double bed in each room.
There are river view family units with one
queen bed, and a second room with 2 twins.
Two 4th Floor Units with one double, and
second room two twin beds. One of these also
has a day bed in addition to the two twins.
Inn Family units have coffee makers and some
have mini-fridges as well.
The Carriage House Inn is also home to our
Gift Shop.
